About

I didn't start out as an artist, but was a writer in the media and corporate world. However, I was always drawn to creativity and art, taking art courses and enjoying color and design. I took my first metalsmithing class in 2014 and was hooked from the beginning.

Before becoming a metalsmith, I worked both in the United States and overseas, in the Middle East, Asia, and Europe.  I am drawn to the symmetry, aesthetic, and colors of Middle Eastern and Arabic art. I love using vibrant, unique gemstones, especially ones that have saturated colors, and strive to make interesting, thoughtful pieces that add a pop and interest to everyday.

I make every piece by hand using traditional metalsmithing tools and techniques, taking my time designing and executing each piece. I love working with gold, especially high-carat gold. I carefully select unique, high-quality gemstones from trusted worldwide suppliers.

I have a Bachelors degree and Masters degree from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. I live in the Chicagoland area with my husband and son.
